미르테는 지중해 연안의 식물로
크림색의 작은 꽃은 달콤한 향기를 갖고 있어 술의 향료로,
잎과 줄기는 증류하여 향유로,
열매는 파이와 잼을 만들기도 하지요.
아프로디테의 신목이기도 한 미르테의 꽃말은 사랑의 속삭임.
우리가 좋아하는 것에 대해 이야기를 할 이 곳에 미르테라는 이름을 지어준 까닭이에요.
